INTRODUCTION
WHO ARE WE?

30 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

VIG Asset Management Hungary Ltd. has a 30-year history in the domestic and regional asset management sector through its legal predecessors. Founded in 1995, the company initially operated as the asset management subsidiary of the Dutch-owned Aegon Insurance Ltd. until 2009.
From 2009, our company became part of Aegon Global Asset Management, where—thanks to our expertise—we became the Central and Eastern European regional asset management hub of the Dutch-owned investment firm, managing the assets of insurance companies and pension funds in Poland, Romania, and Hungary.

PART OF THE VIG GROUP SINCE 2022

In the autumn of 2020, the former owner decided to sell its Central and Eastern European interests to the Austria-based VIG Group, which was already a known player on the Hungarian market through Union Insurance Company.
As one of the most successful companies in the Hungarian asset management market, we joined the VIG Group in spring 2022 following the completion of the acquisition process.

MANAGING OVER HUF 1,300 BILLION IN ASSETS

Since 2023, our company has been managing the assets of Alfa Insurance Company (formerly: Aegon Hungary Insurance), Alfa Voluntary Pension Fund (formerly: Aegon Voluntary Pension Fund), and Union Insurance Company. In total, we manage nearly HUF 1,300 billion in assets for our clients.
